YTILI 2025 Fellowship Applications Now Open!

On behalf of the American Councils for International Education, we are reaching out to you with information about an exciting international exchange program - the Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative (YTILI) Fellowship program, opened for young social and business entrepreneurs from Hungary.

As the leading entities in the field of entrepreneurship in Hungary, we wanted to include you in this process as you have a keen sense of who could benefit from and excel in this program and share the announcement of the program among your professional network and potential applicants!

As you probably know, the YTILI Fellowship Program offers a chance for young European business and social entrepreneurship professionals, to participate in a fully funded, five-week professional development program in the United States.

The U.S. Department of State awarded the American Councils for International Education with the implementation of the YTILI Fellowship Program starting in Fall 2025. With almost 50 years of experience in international education, American Councils with headquarters in Washington, D.C., works across approximately 130 countries and is supported by approximately 650 staff globally.

About the YTILI Fellowship Program: YTILI is a two-way U.S. Department of State-funded exchange program designed to strengthen the transatlantic relationship, develop sustainable partnerships between U.S. and European entrepreneurs and innovators, promote regional integration and cooperation in Europe, and encourage European businesses, governments, and civil society to develop their innovation ecosystems. Through intensive fellowships designed to broaden their professional expertise and further enhance their leadership capabilities, YTILI provides emerging European entrepreneur leaders with the opportunity to gain first-hand experiences in, and exposure to, U.S. public and private sector offices working on a variety of issues related to entrepreneurship, innovation, and transatlantic connections. Virtual activities will take place in summer 2025 and the in-person U.S.-based exchange will take place in September-October 2025.

The program is open for:

  • Business or social entrepreneurs, 25 to 35 years old,
  • with at least two years of experience successfully managing an entrepreneurial venture in their home countries;
  • Citizens and residents of one of the following 49 eligible countries in Europe: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.
