Introductory thoughts about the Chamber Possessing at present almost two thousand members, our Chamber started its operation on 1st January 1995 with compulsory membership, however this state was modified to a voluntary one in November 2000.
Our members represent almost 40% of the branch GDP of the county, and this fact shows the reasons for existence of voluntary membership.
Our Chamber is not an advocacy organisation, but it provides the general advocacy by the branches of the chamber for the members of the economy, the entrepreneurs. Our activities are marked by general autonomous functioning.
Our task is dual: to take over and run a part of the economical regulations through its increasing public law activities, and to provide a wide range of services for our members and external partners.
We can achieve our objectives in case our members actively take part in the work of the Chamber with their initiatives, ideas, questions, and the needs formulated towards the Chamber.
The Chamber is the real members of entrepreneurs, the organisation is functioning for them and by us. Nowadays there are a lot of institutions operating just to help enterprises and to protect their interests by setting identical goals in order to achieve more or less credibility, to be acknowledged according to their activities and not only by self-justification. There are many who have not yet realized that more significant success can only be reached by joining forces, thinking and performing together in the long-run and not just by fighting individually. That is why the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bács-Kiskun County, as an institution working by self-governing principles, puts a great emphasis on facilitating the development of economy and its structure, assuring safe turnover and the trustworthiness of the market, representing the general and the common interests of those who are engaged in economic activities. Our other aim is to become the integral partner of the government in power, to ensure that our members, the participants of the economy could “feel the significance” of the chamber as well as its important role in the improving economy. We truly believe that similar institutions can survive and achieve outstanding results in the long-run in case they are well-organized and have appropriate personnel, and the necessary conditions of infrastructure as well. Our experience, results, the number of members and our skilled colleagues help us improve our operation and services by keeping up with the requirements and developments of our era in order to reach the highest possible standards. We believe that the prestige of the Chamber will increase based on the observed positive changes, and its strength will depend on the endurance and cohesion of the members. We continuously expect new members, highly appreciate each venture aiming to operate in our rapidly changing environment, being able to function with the permanent need for adaptation at the same time.
